IECEx, ATEX explosion-proof certification

IECEx

  • An explosion-proof certification system operated by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)
  • A globally recognized certification system
  • Performs verification on technical documents, product testing, and the overall quality system
  • Widely required in international markets such as marine, offshore, the Middle East/South America, and Southeast Asia

ATEX
 (ATmosphères EXplosibles, EU Directive 2014/34/EU)

  • Regulations for explosion-proof equipment used within the European Union (EU). 
  • A mandatory certification for market entry into Europe and one of the conditions for granting the CE Mark.
