MED MODULE B/D Certification 

  • The MED (Marine Equipment Directive) is a European Union (EU) directive for marine equipment that certifies equipment installed on vessels is compliant with International Maritime Organization (IMO) and EU standards. By acquiring both MODULE B (Type-Approval) and MODULE D (Quality Assurance System Certification), SeaNet possesses an internationally recognized quality system from product design to production.

MED MODULE B -
Type Approval
(EC Type Examincation)

  • The certification body tests and evaluates the product for compliance with the specified technical standards.
  • Verifying product conformity based on design drawings, technical documents, and performance tests. 

MED MODULE B - 
Quality system approval. 
(Production Quality Assurance)

  • Evaluating production processes and quality management procedures based on an ISO quality system
  • Continuous verification that mass-produced products are manufactured identically to the type approved under MODULE B.
